Partner Tantsu®

With the Core Tantsu we can widen the circle of those we hold close to include everybody. In Partner Tantsu we deepen our connection with those we hold close. A Core Tantsu session usually concludes in the Anterior Cradle. With those who trust that we are holding them without any intention, we can start with the Anterior Cradle and continue on into additional cradles that bring our own heart and hara into an even greater supporting role.

Spoon

In this position if we have an inclined plane of cushions high enough behind them, our heart can gather over their heart and connect on a very deep level. We feel our whole bodies breathe and move as one. If we started out on one side in the Anterior Cradle this is an ideal cradle in which to work their second side.

Lounge

After rotating and stretching their legs, we can lie down on our side between their legs with our hara (abdomen) supporting their base in the perineum. With that support we can hold their sides and tug their body towards our hara and release their spine in a way that is not possible in any other position.

Hip Cradle

In one of Tantsu"s first positions with someone straddling our legs we can stretch one leg at a time and reach under their lumbar to lift it with one hand while working their hara from above with the other, still supporting their center from a third side with our own hara.

Energy and Connection

A distinguishing features of Tantsu is the continuing support of the base. In these positions that support becomes even more powerful. After having someone so close it is even more important to come to Tantsu's finish, pulling the legs out, and the arms and the head, and after placing hands on the heart and the third eye, slowly lifting them up feeling how we are still connected though no longer touching.
