Deepen your connection with those you hold close
When you are held without any intention in holds that may be felt as more intimate than the Core Cradle, whatever healing that began with the Core Cradle can progress to new levels. There can be a great deal of joy shared in these holds when there is no expectations attached to them. Some find that their relationships arrive at a new level of connection. Some find that the greater heart and chakra connections in these holds help them access and share their waves. Some appreciate the moments of deep stillness they can find together in Tantsu.
Spoon Straddle and Lounge
Just as the Core Posterior Cradle was introduced as a way to work one side before rolling someone into the Anterior Cradle, this class introduces a new way of working the other side with someone close enough to start the first side in the Anterior Cradle. Learn to work the whole body moving from a close-to-the-heart spoon position with its deep connection of the breath to a stradde of one leg that facilitates rotating, stretching and a pulling of the other leg that sends waves up the back. In its third position you lounge over one leg with your hara (your center in the abdomen) supporting their base in a way that simultaneously grounds and releases energy through the whole body as you roll their leg, tug the spine in a way that releases their back as no other hold can, and hold chakras in deep stillness. Intimate but non-invasive.
The Sacrum Cradle,
Learn this cradle in which your Hara keeps contact with their base as, sitting under them, you rotate and stretch one leg at a time and then laying both legs out over your thighs reach under and lift their back and then work their hara with both hands. Waves are ofter very naturally shared in this hold. Other holds and playful moves and rolls are introduced, with an emphasis on exploring and sharing whatever spontaneous movements arise.
